Double Hundred in ODI Cricket: A total of 12 double centuries have been scored in ODI cricket history, of which seven have been scored by Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma is the only player to have scored three double centuries.
List Of Double Hundred In ODI Cricket: There was a time in ODI cricket when scoring a double century in an innings was like a dream. The record of 194 runs made by Pakistan's Saeed Anwar for the highest individual score in ODI remained unbroken for 17 years. This record remained beyond the reach of any male player till the year 2010. Finally, India's great batsman Sachin Tendulkar broke this record in the year 2010. So far, 12 cricketers have scored 12 double centuries in ODIs, which include 5 Indian batsmen. Out of these 12 double centuries, 7 centuries have been scored by Indian batsmen only.

Records for centuries and double centuries in ODI cricket
- England batsman John Edrich scored the first ODI half-century against Australia, scoring 82 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on January 5, 1971.
- England batsman Dennis Amiss was the first cricketer to score a century in ODI cricket. He scored the first century (103) in ODI history against Australia on August 24, 1972.
- India's legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was the first male cricketer to score the first double century (200*) in ODI against South Africa in the year 2010.
- The highest individual score in ODI cricket was made by Rohit Sharma. On November 13, 2014, Rohit made the highest score in ODI history (264 runs) against Sri Lanka.
- Chris Gayle holds the record for the fastest double century in ODI cricket. He broke Virender Sehwag's record. Gayle reached 200 runs in just 138 balls, while Sehwag achieved the feat in 140 balls.
- Vivian Richards was the first player to score 180+ in ODIs in 1984. However, this record was broken by Gary Kirsten, who scored 188* against the United Arab Emirates on February 16, 1996.
- Pakistan opener Saeed Anwar was the first player to score 190+ in ODIs. Anwar made 194 against India on May 21, 1997.
- Saeed Anwar's record was broken by Australian woman cricketer Belinda Clark, who scored an unbeaten 229 against Denmark at the MIG Club Ground in Mumbai in December 1997.
