A horrific road accident has occurred in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district. A private bus lost control and fell into a 400-meter-deep ravine in Haripurdhar, in the Sri Renukaji assembly constituency. Fourteen people have been reported dead so far.
Nearly a dozen people were injured in this tragic accident. The death toll is expected to rise. So far, approximately 30 people have been rescued. Local residents are engaged in relief and rescue operations. A police team has also arrived at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the Jeet Coaches bus was traveling from Kupvi in Shimla district to Solan. Due to fog and cold, the road was slippery. Consequently, the bus lost control and crashed.
Police personnel from Sangrah, Rajgarh, and Nauhradhar have left for the accident site. Sirmaur District Superintendent of Police, Nishchay Singh Negi, has also left for the accident site from Nahan.
