Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for a massive on-screen transformation with his upcoming military drama Battle of Galwan, where he’ll portray a soldier. From intense gym sessions to strict diet routines, Salman is leaving no stone unturned. While fans are eagerly awaiting this action-packed film, a different buzz is brewing around one of his most beloved movies — Bajrangi Bhaijaan. On the verge of completing 10 years (on 17th July), the film remains a milestone in Salman’s career, having earned ₹922 crore worldwide. Now, director Kabir Khan has given a long-awaited update about the potential sequel, sparking major excitement.
In a recent interview, Kabir Khan confirmed that discussions about working again with Salman Khan are very much alive. "I’ve worked with Salman on three films. We always stay in touch and often discuss new ideas. I would love to collaborate with him again," Kabir revealed. However, he emphasized the importance of finding the right story — one that both he and Salman strongly believe in. Without a compelling narrative, neither wants to rush into a sequel that might tarnish the legacy of the original film.
On Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, Kabir admitted that both he and Salman have talked about it. “We are aware that franchise films are doing really well today. But when it comes to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, we are being extra careful. We don’t want to spoil the emotional and cultural impact the first film created,” he said. While there’s no confirmation or locked script yet, Kabir didn’t rule it out entirely. “If we find the right story — maybe this year or next — then we’ll definitely move ahead with part two.”
Meanwhile, Salman is deeply invested in Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The first glimpse of the film has already made headlines, and fans are intrigued by his look and role as a soldier. Reports suggest this film will be grounded in real-life border conflicts and aims to blend action with patriotism.
Kabir and Salman’s past collaborations — Ek Tha Tiger, Tubelight, and the unforgettable Bajrangi Bhaijaan — were massive hits, both commercially and emotionally. With news of a fourth possible film together in the works, fans are already waiting with bated breath for the announcement.
So, will Salman Khan cross the border to Pakistan again on screen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2? Not just yet — but the door is wide open. And if the story lives up to the magic of the first film, Bhaijaan might just return to melt our hearts once more.
