WhatsApp Tech Tip: Made a mistake in a sent message? Instead of deleting it, easily edit it like this
While chatting on WhatsApp, we often make typing mistakes, or sometimes, in anger or haste, we write something that later needs to be changed. Previously, to correct such a mistake, we had to delete the entire message and retype it. However, WhatsApp's "Edit Message" feature has completely eliminated this hassle. Let's learn how you can edit a sent message without deleting it.
Easy way to edit sent messages
Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to the chat in which you sent the wrong message.
Long press your finger on that wrong message.
Once the message is selected, click on the menu (or three dots / More Options) that appears at the top or bottom.
There you will find the option of 'Edit', tap on it.
Now your same old message will open in the message box, correct whatever corrections are required in it.
Then, tick (✔) or click the Send button. Your message will be updated.
