Vivo Smartphones Get Costlier: Prices of Six Models Increased by Up to ₹4,000

Vivo has increased the prices of several of its smartphones in India, impacting buyers planning to upgrade. The price revision, which came into effect on April 21, follows a broader industry trend where brands are adjusting prices due to rising component costs, currency fluctuations, and supply chain pressures. According to reports shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the hike ranges between ₹1,000 and ₹4,000 across multiple models, and the updated prices are already visible on Vivo’s official website.

One of the biggest hikes has been seen on the Vivo T5x, where all variants are now costlier by ₹4,000. The 6GB/128GB model is now priced at ₹22,999, while the 8GB variants go up to ₹26,999 depending on storage.

In the premium segment, the Vivo V70 Elite has also seen a noticeable increase. The 8GB/256GB variant is now priced at ₹55,999, and the 12GB/256GB model has gone up to ₹59,999. Similarly, the Vivo V70 has become ₹4,000 more expensive, with prices now starting at ₹49,999 and going up to ₹53,999.

Mid-range buyers are also affected. The Vivo Y400 now starts at ₹28,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, while the higher storage option touches ₹31,999. The Vivo Y51 Pro has also received a similar ₹3,000 hike, with prices now going up to ₹30,999.

Even budget buyers are not spared. The Vivo Y31 5G has become costlier, with the base variant now priced at ₹19,999 and the higher variant reaching ₹23,999.

Overall, this price hike means buyers may need to stretch their budget slightly more if they are considering a Vivo smartphone. While the company hasn’t officially explained the reason, such increases are typically linked to external economic factors rather than changes in the devices themselves.
