The Railway Ministry has decided to permanently discontinue the "UTS on Mobile" app service from March 1, 2026. After this, all passengers will be required to book tickets only through the "RailOne" app . According to the PRA of the Malda Division, this step is part of Indian Railways' digital transformation initiative to enhance passenger convenience and provide a unified digital platform.

The RailOne app now integrates the services of UTS on Mobile and Rail Connect. This means that passengers will be able to book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets, as well as access train, coach, and platform status, PNR information, live train running status, lodge complaints, and order food, all with a single login ID and password . Previously, these services required separate apps and platforms, such as booking tickets from IRCTC, live train status from NTES, complaints from Rail Madad, and food from Food on Track. Now, everything will be available in a single app.

Passengers are receiving a 3 percent discount when booking tickets through the RailOne app . Previously, this discount was only available for unreserved tickets purchased using R-Wallet, but now it will also be available for payments made using UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and non-banking apps . A 3 percent bonus will also be offered on R-Wallet recharges. This move is crucial to promoting digital payments and will encourage cashless transactions.

For passenger convenience, the RailOne app now offers connecting travel options . The advantage is that when a direct train isn't available, the app suggests better travel options based on the connecting train and station. It also displays the time difference between the originating and secondary train, making waiting for a connection at the station seamless and accurate.

Key features of the Railvan app

  • Booking of unreserved (general), reserved and platform tickets, digital platform ticket booking
  • Live Train Running Status
  • PNR Status Information
  • Coach and platform status information
  • Ticket cancellation and refund tracking
  • Passenger Feedback and Support Services
  • 3% discount on unreserved tickets booked through digital payment
  • 3% bonus on R-Wallet recharge
  • Thus, Railvan App has become a complete platform ensuring convenience, digital access and cashless payments for the passengers.

The RailOne app   was launched in beta by CRIS (Central Railway Information Center) in January 2026. It is available for download from the Play Store and App Store. Through the app, passengers will not only be limited to booking tickets, but will also be able to access platform ticket information, reserved tickets, live train information, coach positioning, PNR status, train status, grievance redressal, and catering services all in one place.

This integrated platform will save passengers time and eliminate the need to search for different trains by changing station codes. Ticket booking will be simplified, ensuring secure and cashless transactions. Railway officials say that the RailOne app will help passengers by simplifying and expediting digital access,  providing security, convenience, and economic benefits. Thus, the RailOne app has become a key part of Indian Railways' digital initiatives, providing a modern and convenient ticketing experience for passengers.
