El Molo Tribe

Even crocodiles fear the El Molo tribe. Furthermore, hippos flee or hide in the water upon seeing them. This tribe is located in Kenya. Their number can now be counted on the fingers of one hand, numbering only 300 to 400. Lions and tigers also choose other routes when they see these hunters, because if given the opportunity, these animals too can become their prey.

Extremely dangerous predator

The El Molo tribe specializes in hunting. They live in small huts along dams, lakes, and rivers. This community has a unique definition of bravery. Anyone who specializes in hunting crocodiles and hippos is considered the tribe's most intelligent and skilled hunter. They are considered brave and courageous. Specifically, they don't use large weapons or armor to kill crocodiles and hippos. A harpoon is a sharp pebble used to make a spear. They hunt with two or three spears. The crocodile is then pulled from the water, cooked, and given to the village.

Their huts are located in wetlands where there are many crocodiles and alligators. For centuries, this tribe has survived by eating aquatic fish, crocodiles, hippos and other animals. Since the Kenyan government imposed a strict ban on hunting crocodiles and hippos, the tribe's numbers have declined rapidly. This tribe is now moving from villages to cities. Now the remaining El Molo people hunt fish. Another speciality of this tribe is that this tribal tribe does not live long. Their average lifespan is 30 to 45 years. Due to this, the number of this tribe has decreased.
