Following the Bihar Assembly election results, there has been a huge uproar in the family of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav. Following Lalu Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya's statement on Saturday, her brother Tej Pratap Yadav has come to his sister's defense. Tej Pratap has said that he will not tolerate any insult to his sister. He has also appealed to his father Lalu Yadav, to give him just one signal so that those who insulted Rohini can be taught a lesson. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap's party, the Janshakti Janata Dal, has expressed support for Rohini through a series of posts on social media.

 

 

On Saturday, November 15th, Rohini posted on Instagram about the ongoing family feud following the defeat and her decision to retire from politics. She followed this up on Sunday with another post, in which she stated that after donating a kidney to her father Lalu Prasad Yadav, she was "hurtfully abused and even told that she had given him a dirty kidney." This was followed by some emotional posts on Tej Pratap Yadav and his party's pages. Tej Pratap, on his party's page, called those who insulted his sister "traitors" and warned them.

 

A Facebook post from the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJP) stated, "Rohini Acharya announced her intention to quit politics and end ties with her family on November 15th. She accused Sanjay Yadav of pressure. This has now infuriated Lalu's eldest son, Tej Pratap Yadav. Tej Pratap Yadav said, 'Whoever insults our sister... Krishna's Sudarshan Chakra will be used.'"

 

 

Another post from the party read, "Indeed, Lalu Yadav's real daughter is Rohini Acharya, who has always vehemently opposed Sanjay Yadav. I have heard many senior RJD leaders and MLAs abusing Sanjay Yadav. They say Sanjay has ruined the RJD, but they lack the courage to write against Sanjay Yadav. This courage has been shown by the ideal daughter, Rohini Acharya, and she will always have my support."

 

Tej Pratap's party posted another post, referring to Rohini's statement on Saturday. It read, "A major statement has come out from Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter, Rohini Acharya. She wrote on X, 'I am leaving politics and severing ties with my family. This is what Sanjay Yadav and Rameez asked me to do. I am taking responsibility for this matter myself."

 

 

In response to this post, the party wrote, "Rohini is the same daughter who gave her father a new life by donating her kidney, but today she faces humiliating family turmoil. The big question now is: will Tejashwi Yadav take steps to save family relationships or prioritize friendship? There are many questions... the answers are yet to come." In another post, the party respected Rohini's self-respect and said that it cannot be compromised. Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled from his party and family in May this year.
