Sushant Singh Rajput's fans still get emotional remembering him. After his death, many blamed nepotism and Bollywood politics for his death. Now, years later, Shekhar Kapur has made a revelation that may disappoint Sushant Singh Rajput's fans.

This story is related to the film Paani.

In April 2014, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur was finally ready to begin work on his long-delayed film "Paani," a project that had been stalled for over a decade. At the time, Sushant Singh Rajput replaced Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. This raised hopes that the film, set in the 2050s, where the world is grappling with a severe water crisis, would soon be produced. But 12 years later, the film remains unmade.

Sushant worked hard for 6 months

Kapoor recently opened up about the project, saying that production was halted before it even began. He said, " I couldn't even start production on Paani. By the time YRF (Yash Raj Films) decided they wouldn't cast Sushant, I had already been rehearsing with him for six months. However, I haven't abandoned the project."

Shekhar Kapur further said, "Aditya Chopra (head of YRF) and I had a contract where he would control the business while I would have creative control over the film. However, things were not to be.
