Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently shared his excitement about three standout features of Microsoft’s AI-powered Copilot, which he says have become an essential part of his daily routine. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nadella explained that these features are not only transforming how he works but also how people interact with technology in general. He compared the innovation behind them to the revolutionary shift that came with the introduction of touchscreens.
The first feature Nadella highlighted is Voice-Activated Copilot on Windows. He described it as the most powerful way to interact with computers since touch technology was introduced. Acting like a voice-controlled mouse, this feature allows users to perform tasks such as writing emails, editing documents, and retrieving information simply by speaking. Nadella called it a game-changer for productivity, saying it makes everyday tasks much smoother and more intuitive.
His second favorite feature is Mico, a new character interface within Copilot. Nadella described Mico as a “Socratic tutor” that doesn’t just provide answers but helps users truly learn and understand topics. He even shared a personal example of using Mico with his daughter to explore Egyptian mythology, noting that the feature didn’t just share facts but guided them through an engaging learning process.
Lastly, Nadella praised Copilot’s capabilities in planning, learning, and coordination, which he says help him manage complex tasks at work efficiently. These intelligent tools assist in organizing workflows, streamlining decision-making, and enhancing creativity, making them an indispensable part of his daily professional life.
Through these features, Nadella emphasized how AI is evolving from a simple assistant into a true collaborator—redefining the relationship between humans and technology.
