Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series is already making headlines, with fresh leaks hinting at a major display upgrade. According to recent reports, the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ could inherit the Privacy Display feature that debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, giving users better protection against unwanted screen peeking.
Privacy Display May Arrive Across the Entire S27 Lineup
According to industry sources cited by The Elec, Samsung is expected to bring the Privacy Display feature to all models in the Galaxy S27 series. This means the technology could be available on the:
- Samsung Galaxy S27
- Samsung Galaxy S27+
- Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro
- Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra
In the current Galaxy S26 lineup, the feature is limited to the Ultra model.
How the Privacy Display Works
The Privacy Display uses a hardware-based solution to narrow the screen’s viewing angles by dimming the outer pixels. This makes it much harder for people nearby to view what's on your screen.
Users are also expected to be able to enable the feature for specific content, including:
- Banking and payment apps
- Password entry screens
- OTP verification
- Sensitive notifications
The feature is said to offer multiple privacy levels, allowing users to choose how much of the screen remains visible to others.
Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra May Get an Upgraded Selfie Camera
Another report from GalaxyClub suggests that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The camera is expected to be housed inside a hole-punch display, offering improved image quality over previous models.
What to Expect
While Samsung has not officially confirmed these details, the leaks indicate that the Galaxy S27 series could focus heavily on privacy, security, and camera improvements. If the reports prove accurate, the Privacy Display feature could become a standard offering across the lineup instead of remaining exclusive to the Ultra variant.
