Samsung has expanded its Galaxy S26 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S26 FE, a new Fan Edition smartphone aimed at buyers who want flagship-style features at a relatively lower price.
The phone has initially been introduced in select international markets with a starting price of US$699, roughly ₹66,000. It comes with a large AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup, a high-capacity battery and Samsung's latest software.
Sales are scheduled to begin in select markets from September 4, while the company has not yet announced the India price.
Galaxy S26 FE Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE starts at US$699 (approximately ₹66,000) for the base variant.
This entry-level model comes with:
-
8GB RAM
-
128GB internal storage
The smartphone will go on sale in selected countries from September 4. Samsung is expected to bring the Galaxy S26 FE to India as well, although the Indian launch date and pricing have not been officially confirmed yet.
6.7-Inch AMOLED Display
The Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should provide smoother scrolling and animations compared with standard 60Hz displays.
Samsung has also rated the display for up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness, which can make the screen easier to view in bright outdoor conditions.
Exynos 2500 Processor Powers the Phone
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE is powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset, manufactured using a 3nm process.
The phone is available with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, giving users the option of choosing a higher-storage configuration.
On the software front, it runs One UI 9 based on Android 17.
The smartphone also carries an IP68 rating, offering protection against dust and water under supported conditions.
Triple Rear Camera With 50MP Main Sensor
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 FE with a triple-camera system on the rear.
The setup includes:
-
50MP primary camera with OIS
-
12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view
-
8MP telephoto camera
The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
For selfies and video calls, the phone gets a 12MP front-facing camera with an 85-degree field of view.
The inclusion of optical image stabilisation and a dedicated telephoto lens gives the FE model a more versatile camera setup than many phones in its price segment.
4,900mAh Battery With Wireless Charging
The Galaxy S26 FE packs a 4,900mAh battery.
It supports:
-
45W wired fast charging
-
15W wireless charging
The phone also supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Charging and wired connectivity are handled through a USB Type-C port.
For biometric security, Samsung has included an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Slim Design and Manageable Weight
Despite housing a large display and battery, the Galaxy S26 FE measures around 7.4mm in thickness and weighs approximately 193 grams.
This gives the phone a relatively slim profile while retaining the large-screen design expected from a modern Galaxy smartphone.
Samsung's Affordable Entry Into the Galaxy S26 Family
With the Galaxy S26 FE, Samsung is offering a more affordable route into its latest flagship series. The phone combines a 120Hz AMOLED display, Exynos 2500 processor, 50MP OIS camera, telephoto lens, wireless charging and IP68 protection in one package.
At US$699, it is positioned below the higher-end Galaxy S26 models internationally. However, Indian buyers will have to wait for Samsung to announce the official India price before determining how competitive the Galaxy S26 FE will be in the local market.
