Now the actor is getting ready for a new phase of his career, in which he will be seen in a patriotic military action drama. After the cold response to 'Sikander', the megastar has finalized the lead actress for his upcoming film.

Salman Khan's upcoming film is based on the Galwan Valley conflict between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020.

According to the India Today report, actress Chitrangada Singh has got the lead role opposite Salman Khan in the film. The pair will be seen sharing the screen for the first time in the film. Actress Chitrangada Singh is known for her brilliant performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. She later made a mark in mainstream cinema with films like Desi Boys and Gabbar Is Back's item song 'Aao Raja'.

The film is based on the Galway Valley clash.
The untitled film is said to be based on the Galwan chapter of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book 'India's Most Fearless 3'. Salman will reportedly play the role of Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who was the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment and led the Indian soldiers during the Galwan conflict.

Salman Khan will play a real-life role for the first time.

The project is important for Salman Khan, as it will be the first time he is going to play a real-life character while he had previously worn a military uniform in Hero and Jai Ho. Directed by Shootout at Lokhandwala director Apoorva Lakhia, the film promises a thrilling version of real events high-octane action and emotional depth.

According to Pinkvilla, principal photography will begin in July 2025, and the team is planning a tight shooting schedule of 70 days. The film is expected to be completed by October. Salman is currently undergoing training to perform action sequences and play the role of a soldier in the film.
