Redmi Pad 2 SE Launched: 7600mAh Battery, Snapdragon Chip and Premium Display at Budget Price

Redmi Pad 2 SE has been officially introduced by Xiaomi, offering a solid mix of performance, design, and multimedia features at an affordable price point. The tablet comes in two variants—Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 4G—giving users flexibility based on their connectivity needs.

One of its standout features is the slim and lightweight design. At just 7.4mm thickness and around 406 grams, the device is easy to carry and comfortable for long usage. On the front, it sports a 9.7-inch 2K display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for watching videos, reading, or casual gaming. The screen also supports up to 600 nits brightness and includes TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing, ensuring better eye comfort.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 6s 4G processor built on a 6nm architecture, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. It offers up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. This setup should be sufficient for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and light multitasking.

The Redmi Pad 2 SE packs a large 7600mAh battery, supported by 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C port. For entertainment, it features quad stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack—something many users still appreciate. In terms of cameras, it includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for video calls and basic photography.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, while the 4G variant also supports dual SIM and GPS, making it more versatile for on-the-go use. The tablet runs on HyperOS 3, offering a modern and smooth software experience.

As for pricing, the Redmi Pad 2 SE starts at CNY 1,199 (around ₹16,400) for the 6GB + 128GB Wi-Fi variant. There’s no official confirmation yet about its India launch, but if it arrives at a similar price, it could compete strongly with budget tablets from brands like Lenovo and Realme.
