Redmi 15A Launched in India with 6300mAh Battery, 5G Support and Budget Pricing

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has expanded its affordable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Redmi 15A in India. Packed with a large battery, 5G connectivity, and several premium-like features, the device aims to offer strong value in the budget segment.

The Redmi 15A is priced at ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, ₹14,499 for the 4GB + 128GB model, and ₹16,499 for the 6GB + 128GB option. It will be available in three colour options—Ace Black, Awesome Blue, and Amaze Purple—and will go on sale starting April 3 via Flipkart, Mi.com, and authorised retail stores.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone runs on HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16 and is promised to receive up to four years of Android updates along with six years of security patches. It features a large 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 800 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the T8300 5G chipset built on a 6nm process, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the Redmi 15A comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 32MP primary sensor, while the front houses an 8MP camera for selfies. The standout feature is its massive 6300mAh battery, which supports 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse charging, with the company claiming up to two days of usage on a single charge.

With these features, the Redmi 15A will compete against smartphones like the Realme P4 Lite 5G, Motorola G67 Power 5G, Poco M7 Plus 5G, and Samsung Galaxy F36 5G in the Indian market.
