Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Rajat Patidar achieved a significant milestone in the IPL. RCB defeated CSK by 43 runs on Sunday, maintaining his unbeaten record against CSK.

Under Rajat Patidar's leadership, RCB defeated CSK for the third consecutive time. Under Rajat Patidar's captaincy, RCB defeated CSK twice in IPL 2025 and once in the current IPL. Patidar became the fourth captain in the IPL to achieve three consecutive victories against Chennai Super Kings during his initial captaincy.

Sachin's record broken

With this, Rajat Patidar broke Sachin Tendulkar's record. Under Tendulkar's captaincy, Mumbai Indians defeated CSK twice in a row in 2008-09. Before Patidar, only three captains in the IPL had defeated Chennai Super Kings three times in a row. These were Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, and George Bailey.
