RCB Becomes IPL’s No.1 in Fans, Surpasses All Other Teams

Before the playoffs kick off, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has something to celebrate beyond the points table. Although currently placed third and aiming to climb higher with their upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27, RCB has already left all other IPL teams far behind in one major aspect — its fanbase.

Leading the IPL Fan Race

RCB’s fan family keeps growing, now boasting a whopping 20 million (2 crore) followers on Instagram — the highest among all IPL teams. This surge is likely fueled by Virat Kohli’s outstanding batting form this season, keeping fans engaged and loyal. Following RCB, Chennai Super Kings ranks second with 18.6 million fans, while Lucknow Super Giants sit at the bottom with just 3.6 million followers.

Other Teams’ Fan Numbers

Mumbai Indians hold the third spot in fan count with 18 million Instagram followers. Kolkata Knight Riders are fourth with 7.5 million, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad at 5.4 million. Rajasthan Royals have 5.2 million, Gujarat Titans 4.9 million, Delhi Capitals 4.6 million, and Punjab Kings 4.1 million fans on Instagram.

RCB’s Season So Far

RCB, still chasing its maiden IPL title, has delivered a strong performance this season. Out of 13 matches played, the team has won 8 and lost 4, with one rain-canceled game. With 17 points, RCB currently stands third on the points table and looks to maintain momentum in their upcoming clash against LSG on May 27.
