Afghanistan's Rahmat Shah has achieved a significant feat in his captaincy debut. Captaining his first Test against Bangladesh, Rahmat scored a century in the first innings and a half-century in the second innings, becoming the sixth player in the world to achieve this feat.

Earlier, Virat Kohli also achieved a similar feat on his Test captaincy debut. In the one-off Test between Afghanistan and Bangladesh being played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Rahmat scored an unbeaten 105 in the first innings and then scored 51 runs batting at number four in the second innings.

Rahmat Shah has been appointed captain of Afghanistan's Test and ODI teams, replacing Hashmatullah Shahidi. India's Virat Kohli made his Test debut against Australia in Adelaide in December 2014, scoring 115 and 141 in the second innings.
