Poco X8 Pro Series Launch Confirmed for March 17; Powerful Processor and Big Battery Expected

Smartphone maker Poco has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming Poco X8 Pro series. The new smartphones will be unveiled globally on March 17, and the lineup is expected to include two models — the Poco X8 Pro and the Poco X8 Pro Max.
Ahead of the launch, several details about the devices, including their processor, battery, display and possible price, have already surfaced online.
Launch Event Details
According to the announcement by Poco, the launch event will take place on March 17 at 5:30 PM IST and will be streamed online. The company has hinted that the new X-series phones will focus heavily on high performance and powerful hardware.
Although the company has not yet officially revealed the full specifications, multiple reports and leaks have provided a glimpse of what to expect.
Powerful Processor Expected
Reports suggest the Poco X8 Pro may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. Meanwhile, the more advanced Poco X8 Pro Max could come with the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor.
Benchmark listings on Geekbench indicate that the Pro Max variant may run on Android 16 and offer 12GB RAM. The device reportedly achieved 2,659 points in the single-core test and 8,386 in the multi-core test, suggesting strong performance.
Expected Price and Storage Options
The two smartphones were recently spotted on the Xiaomi Belgium website, hinting at possible pricing.

Display, Camera and Battery
The Poco X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display along with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The device could pack a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
The Poco X8 Pro Max may offer a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display and a massive 8,500mAh battery, making it one of the biggest batteries in its segment.
Possible Rebranded Models
Reports also suggest that the new devices could be rebranded versions of the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max smartphones.
