Important news has emerged for farmers. The government is running several schemes to provide financial assistance to farmers so they don't face any shortages in their farming activities. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is deposited directly into their bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000 per installment.
The 23rd installment of PM Kisan was sent to farmers' accounts on June 20, 2026. This time, ₹18,880 crore was transferred to the accounts of approximately 9.44 crore farmers through DBT. Now, farmers are awaiting the 24th installment. However, the official date for this installment has not yet been announced. Some reports indicate that the installment will be received around October 2026. Do not trust social media or viral messages until an official announcement is made.
1. Check if e-KYC is complete.
e-KYC is required to avail the PM Kisan benefits. Therefore, if your e-KYC is incomplete, complete it as soon as possible. In addition to OTP, biometric and face authentication are also available.
2. Check if the bank account is linked to Aadhaar
The PM Kisan Yojana installment is deposited through DBT. Therefore, it is important to link your bank account with Aadhaar. Any errors in the name, Aadhaar number, or bank account details could result in the installment being delayed.
3. Check if the land records are updated
It's crucial that the farmer's land records are seeded with the PM Kisan records. Incorrect or incomplete land ownership information can hinder access to benefits.
Who will not get the benefit of PM Kisan?
A husband and wife cannot avail the PM Kisan scheme separately. Furthermore, if someone in the family is paying income tax, holding a constitutional position, or renting land for farming, they will not be eligible. Land ownership is required for the scheme. Therefore, before waiting to receive the 24th installment, it's crucial for farmers to check three things: e-KYC, Aadhaar-bank linking, and land records.
