Crores of farmer families across the country are provided financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year by the central government under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually to millions of farmer families across the country. This amount may increase to ₹10,000 in the future. Demands have begun to increase the annual amount of the scheme.

Recently, Dr. Krishnaveer Chaudhary, National President of the Bharatiya Krishak Samaj and a member of the Government of India's High Power Purchase Committee, hinted at this. Following this, discussions have begun that from next year, the government may provide farmers with an annual subsidy of ₹10,000, instead of the current ₹6,000.

It should be noted that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has approved the continuation of the PM Kisan Yojana from 2026-27 to 2030-31. A total financial provision of ₹3.15 lakh crore has been made by the government for this scheme. A large number of people across the country are benefiting from this scheme.
