PM Kisan 24th Instalment Release Date: Just before Diwali, the central government is set to provide a major gift to crores of farmers across the country. According to reports, the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be officially released today, October 30.

Under this scheme, an amount of ₹2,000 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmer families, which will serve as significant support for them during the festive season.

What is the PM-KISAN scheme?

Launched with the objective of providing direct income support to small and marginal farmer families, the 'PM-KISAN' scheme is one of the world's largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programmes. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers. This amount is disbursed in three instalments of ₹2,000 each, sent directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts at intervals of four months.

e-KYC and Aadhaar-Bank Account Linking are Mandatory

Before the release of the 24th instalment, it is mandatory for beneficiaries to keep their accounts updated in accordance with government regulations. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has made it compulsory for all registered farmers to complete the e-KYC process and link their active bank accounts with their Aadhaar.

Transparency and Prevention of Fraud: The government has tightened e-KYC rules to exclude ineligible accounts and ensure that the funds reach only genuine farmers.

Risk of Payment Interruption: Farmers who have not completed the e-KYC process or the Aadhaar-linking requirement will be removed from the list of active beneficiaries and will not receive the ₹2,000 benefit this time.

How to check your PM Kisan beneficiary status?

Farmers can follow these steps to check if their name is on the final beneficiary list and to track their payment status:

First, visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in.
Scroll to the 'Farmers Corner' section on the homepage.
Click on the 'Know Your Status' option.
Enter your registered PM Kisan registration number and the security captcha code displayed on the screen.
Click the 'Get Data' button. Your payment status, Aadhaar linking status, and e-KYC status will then appear on the screen.
