PM Kisan 24th Installment: If eKYC is stuck, follow these 3 methods, complete the necessary work before the ₹2,000 installment

It's crucial for farmers enrolled in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) to check their eKYC status before receiving their next installment. Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three installments. Each installment of ₹2,000 is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account.

Farmers are now focused on the 24th installment. Reports indicate it will be released between October and November 2026. However, farmers should wait for an official government announcement regarding the final installment release date.

Meanwhile, it's important for farmers who haven't yet completed their eKYC to do so as soon as possible. If a beneficiary's required verification process is pending, their installment payment could be affected.

But the question is, what if you're having trouble completing eKYC online? Farmers have multiple options available, from biometric verification through CSCs to face authentication on the PM-KISAN mobile app.

Why is PM-KISAN eKYC necessary before the 24th installment?

Beneficiary verification is crucial to ensure PM-KISAN benefits reach the right and eligible farmers. eKYC is part of this process.

If a farmer's eKYC is pending, it's best to complete it first rather than waiting for the next installment. Additionally, you can check the status of your bank account, Aadhaar, and other important information entered into the scheme.

Farmers should especially keep in mind that only official channels should be used for getting eKYC done.

Method 1: Get biometric eKYC done from CSC center

Farmers who are facing difficulty in doing eKYC through mobile app or online medium can take help from the nearest authorized Common Service Centre i.e. CSC.

The authorized operator available at the CSC can assist in completing the eKYC through biometric verification as per the relevant process.

Farmers should carry their Aadhaar card and relevant PM-KISAN registration information. Biometric methods such as fingerprints can be used for verification.

If a prescribed fee is applicable for this service, the farmer should pay only the authorised fee and ask for a receipt for the payment.

Method 2: Do Facial eKYC from Mobile

Smartphone-using farmers can also attempt to complete the eKYC process from home. This requires the official PM-KISAN mobile app and the Aadhaar Face ID app.

First, open the Google Play Store on your Android phone and install the official PM-KISAN app. Also download the Aadhaar Face ID app from UIDAI.

After installing the app, open the PM-KISAN app and select your language. Then, go to the login section and select the Beneficiary option.

Proceed using your Aadhaar number or PM-KISAN registration number. The eligible beneficiary may see the Facial eKYC option.

After completing the on-screen instructions and consent process, start the face scan. Position your face correctly within the frame displayed on the screen and follow the app's instructions.

After the face authentication is successful, complete the further process.

How to check if eKYC is complete or not

Don't close the app just after completing the face scan. It's also important to check if the eKYC status has been successfully updated.

Check the eKYC status on the PM-KISAN app dashboard or in the available beneficiary details. If the status shows 'Yes', it generally means that eKYC has been completed.

If the status is not updated or any technical issue is encountered during the process, the check can be done again after some time or assistance can be sought from the authorized CSC.

Method 3: Verification through an authorized state government agency

State governments also play a role in implementing the PM-KISAN scheme. According to the report, eligible farmers may also be able to complete the eKYC process through authorized state-level logins.

If an authorized employee of the Agriculture Department or the concerned government department is providing this facility in your area , then assistance can be taken after verifying his identity and authorized status.

Avoid giving Aadhaar, bank account or other sensitive information to any unknown person.

Beware of those asking for money in the name of eKYC in the village

PM-KISAN beneficiaries also need to be vigilant against fraud. If an unknown person comes to the village claiming to be a government employee and demands a large sum of money for eKYC, do not trust them without verification.

First, check whether the person is authorized. If possible, verify the information with the nearest CSC, agriculture department, or other official source.

Don't share your OTP, banking PIN, UPI PIN, debit card PIN, or internet banking password with anyone. Be especially wary of unnecessary banking information requested under the guise of government scheme verification.

Check this information along with eKYC

Farmers waiting for their 24th installment shouldn't rely solely on eKYC. PM-KISAN records must also contain accurate Aadhaar information, bank account details, beneficiary status, and other essential records.

If you find any mistake in any information, try to get it corrected in time through the relevant official process.

The final confirmation of when the ₹2,000 24th installment will be transferred will only be available through an official government announcement. Therefore, it's best to check for updates from official PM-KISAN channels rather than relying on unofficial dates circulating on social media.

Farmers whose eKYC is currently pending can complete the verification through a CSC, facial eKYC through the official mobile app, or through a channel authorized by the respective state government. This will ensure the necessary process is completed in advance and avoid potential eKYC issues during the next installment.
