If you're planning to travel by train until June 6th, be sure to check your train's status before leaving home. Northern Railway has blocked traffic at Shahabad Markanda and Mohri stations on the Delhi-Ambala rail line to install new interlocking panels and carry out other technical improvements.

Due to this mega block, the operation of many main express trains running on Delhi-Ambala route via Sonipat has been badly affected, which has increased the problems of the passengers.

On Friday, the first day of the traffic block, three major express trains could not reach the Sonipat route. Trains number 12311 (Netaji Express), 11077 (Jhelum Express) and 18101 (Muri Express) were diverted to Ambala via Khurja Junction, Meerut City and Saharanpur instead of Delhi, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal and Kurukshetra.

Due to this route diversion, hundreds of passengers travelling from Sonipat and Gannaur stations faced huge problems and had to take the help of roadways buses and private vehicles.

The routes of these trains will remain changed till June 3.

Northern Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, said that trains number 12311 (Netaji Express) and 11077 (Jhelum Express) will not run on this route until June 3. Meanwhile, 18101 (Muri Express) will be suspended on the Delhi-Ambala line on May 31 and June 3.
