OnePlus Nord 6 could launch soon with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and massive 9000mAh battery

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is reportedly preparing to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus Nord 6, in India soon. The upcoming device from the Nord series has recently appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, hinting that the official launch may not be far away.

Leaks and reports suggest that the phone could arrive with powerful hardware, a high refresh-rate display, and a very large battery, making it a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone segment.

Spotted on Geekbench

According to reports, the OnePlus Nord 6 was spotted on Geekbench with the model number CPH2795. The listing indicates that the smartphone may soon be introduced in global markets, including India.

Some reports also suggest that the device could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Turbo 6, which is expected to launch in China. If that is the case, Indian users may get similar specifications and performance features.

Powerful processor and smooth display

The upcoming Nord 6 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. This chipset is designed for high performance and could provide a smoother experience for gaming, multitasking, and heavy applications.

The smartphone may feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, which would deliver extremely smooth scrolling, animations, and gameplay.

Huge battery and fast charging

One of the biggest highlights of the device could be its massive 9000mAh battery, which would be significantly larger than what is usually seen in smartphones.

The phone is expected to support:

  • 80W wired fast charging

  • 27W wireless charging

In addition, it could come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering better protection against water and dust.

Camera setup

In terms of photography, the smartphone is expected to feature a dual rear camera system, including:

  • 50MP Sony LYTIA-600 primary sensor with OIS

  • 2MP secondary sensor

For selfies and video calls, the device may include a 16MP front camera.

Expected price

The previous model in the series, OnePlus Nord 5, was launched at around ₹31,999. Based on that, the OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to be priced in a similar range or slightly higher when it launches in India.
