Nirahua Opens Up About His Marriage: “I Was Forced to Marry,” Denies Affair Rumours with Amrapali Dubey

Bhojpuri cinema’s popular actor-singer Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua has made a surprising revelation about his personal life, nearly 26 years after his marriage. Nirahua, who married Mansha Devi in 2000 before entering the film industry, has said that his marriage was not by choice but was forced by his family.

Speaking to Digital Commentary, Nirahua candidly shared that he did not have the freedom to decide his life partner. He said that he now advises his children to marry wherever and whoever they wish, something he himself was never allowed to do.

“I regret it even today”

Nirahua said,

“My parents forced me into marriage. I kept telling them to let me do something in life first, but they didn’t listen. I still regret it.”

He further added that love never developed in his marriage and that he had been honest about this even with his wife.

“A life partner should be someone you love. That didn’t happen in my case. I never fell in love. I just fulfilled my duty because my parents got me married.”

Nirahua confirmed that he has three children—two sons and a daughter—and stated clearly that he does not want to impose his own experience on them.

Statement sparks debate

The actor’s remarks have triggered widespread discussion on social media, with many questioning why he chose to speak about his marital regrets after such a long time. However, Nirahua maintained that his intention was only to ensure his children have the freedom he never had.

Link-up rumours with Amrapali Dubey resurface

Following his statement, old rumours linking Nirahua with Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey once again surfaced. The duo has worked together in more than 25 films and is considered one of Bhojpuri cinema’s most successful on-screen pairs.

However, Nirahua has repeatedly denied any romantic involvement with Amrapali. In an earlier interview, he clarified,

“When Amrapali entered films in 2014, she became the audience’s dream girl and my lucky charm. Out of the many films we did together, around 15 were blockbusters—but that’s where it ends.”

Amrapali Dubey also denies rumours

Amrapali Dubey has also firmly dismissed the affair rumours. She has stated that people often misunderstood their professional bonding and frequent temple visits during film shoots.

“Stop harassing Nirahua ji. He is married and has a family. We are just good friends,” she said, adding that when she eventually gets married, rumourmongers will be shocked.
