Motorola is preparing to expand its premium smartphone lineup with a new model believed to be called the Motorola Signature 27. The company has released another teaser revealing key details about the upcoming device, including its camera, colour options and expected announcement date.

The phone could be unveiled on September 22, although Motorola has not yet confirmed whether the date will mark a formal announcement or the start of sales with pricing and complete specifications.

The timing is notable because Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit is also scheduled for September 22. Motorola has hinted that the new Signature 27 will use the latest Snapdragon processor.

200MP Camera Takes Centre Stage

The latest teaser provides a glimpse of the phone's rear camera setup and confirms a 200-megapixel primary camera.

Motorola has also revealed that the camera will support Dolby Vision video recording. However, details about the other rear cameras, including their resolution and capabilities, have not yet been disclosed.

The 200MP sensor could become one of the phone's key highlights, particularly for users interested in smartphone photography and video recording.

Two New Pantone Colours

Motorola is also putting considerable emphasis on the phone's design.

The Signature 27 is expected to be available in Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive. Both colour options have been validated by Pantone.

The teaser also suggests that Motorola is experimenting with different materials and finishes for the handset, although the company has yet to reveal all the design details.

It is currently unclear whether the Signature 27 will directly replace the Motorola Signature launched in India earlier in 2026 or whether it will be positioned as a separate addition to the Signature family.

What Does the Current Motorola Signature Offer?

For comparison, Motorola launched the existing Signature in India in January 2026 in Pantone Martini Olive and Pantone Carbon colour options.

The smartphone features a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It is available with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The current model starts at ₹59,999 for the base storage variant.

In terms of cameras, the existing Signature features a 50MP triple rear camera system and a 50MP front camera. It also supports 8K Dolby Vision video recording at 30fps.

Despite its slim design, the smartphone packs a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 90W wired charging and 10W wireless charging.

Motorola has confirmed some of the Signature 27's highlights, including its 200MP camera and new Pantone colour options, while several specifications remain unknown.

The processor, display, battery, charging capabilities, camera configuration, variants and pricing are yet to be officially detailed.
