Oppo has introduced a new smartphone in its A-series, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G, in select international markets. The phone's biggest attraction is its massive 10,000mAh battery, which comes with support for 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and was previously launched in China in August.
The Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G has been launched in Austria at EUR 599, which is roughly ₹61,000, for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. In Malaysia, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at MYR 2,299.
The smartphone is available in Lunar Black and Surfing Blue colour options. Oppo has not yet revealed the India launch date or pricing, although reports indicate that the device could make its way to the Indian market soon.
6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display
The Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K flexible AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,272×2,772 pixels. The panel supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz.
The display can reach a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits in HBM mode, which should help with visibility in bright outdoor conditions.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset paired with an Adreno 629 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
On the software side, the device runs ColorOS 16.0 based on Android 16.
50MP camera with optical image stabilisation
For photography, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G features a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 2-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor.
At the front, the smartphone gets a 50MP selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, aimed at providing a wider frame for selfies and video calls.
Massive 10,000mAh battery with 80W charging
The biggest highlight of the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G is its 10,000mAh battery. The large battery is supported by 80W wired SUPERVOOC fast charging.
The phone also supports wired reverse charging, allowing users to use the smartphone as a power source to charge other compatible devices.
Connectivity and other features
The smartphone supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS and a USB Type-C port. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock for biometric authentication.
With its combination of a 10,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, AMOLED display and 50MP cameras, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G is positioned as a battery-focused smartphone. However, Indian buyers will have to wait for an official announcement from Oppo regarding its launch date and pricing in the country.
