Toyota’s Fortuner is widely known as one of the most popular SUVs in India, but recent sales data shows that another Toyota vehicle has surpassed it in popularity. In November, Toyota sold a total of 30,085 vehicles, registering a strong 19 percent year-on-year growth. While the company’s overall performance remains solid, some models have clearly emerged as customer favorites.

Toyota’s top 5 best-selling cars

According to Gaadiwaadi, the Toyota Innova range, which includes the Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta, has become the brand’s best-selling lineup. In November alone, Toyota sold 9,295 units of the Innova range, marking an 18 percent increase compared to the same month last year. The MPV continues to enjoy strong demand due to its family-friendly appeal, comfort, and hybrid technology.

At second place is the Toyota Glanza, which recorded impressive growth. This premium hatchback sold 5,032 units in November, up from 3,806 units last year—an increase of 32 percent year-on-year.

The third position is held by the Toyota Taisor. Although its sales declined by 12 percent compared to last year, it still managed to stay in the top five. Toyota sold 3,177 units of the Taisor in November, down from 3,620 units in the same month last year.

Coming in at fourth place is the Toyota Rumion. The MPV showed stable performance with 1,818 units sold, slightly higher than 1,803 units sold in November last year, registering a modest 1 percent growth.

At number five is the Toyota Hyryder, which delivered a strong performance with 52 percent year-on-year growth. The SUV recorded sales of 7,393 units in November, compared to 4,857 units in the same month last year.

What about the Fortuner?

Despite its massive brand value, the Toyota Fortuner saw a decline in sales. In November, 2,676 units were sold, compared to 2,865 units last year, reflecting a 7 percent year-on-year drop.
