Mirzapur Train Accident: This tragic incident occurred when pilgrims alighting from the Gomoh-Chhapra Passenger were crossing the platform. At that moment, some were struck by the Kalka Mail, which was traveling from Howrah to Kalka. Following the incident, chaos descended on the station premises.
The devotees, after getting off the Chopan passenger train, were trying to exit the station by crossing the platform from the wrong side when the accident occurred.
Mirzapur Train Accident: A major accident occurred this morning at Chunar Railway Station in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Six people died tragically after being hit by the Kalka-Howrah Express train. It is being said that all the deceased had come for the Kartik Purnima bath. After getting off the Chopan passenger train, these devotees were trying to exit the station by crossing the platform from the wrong side, when this accident occurred. Upon receiving the information, a large police force and railway officials reached the spot and relief and rescue operations were immediately started. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this accident and has ordered an investigation and has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.
