Meta has launched a new tool called Facebook Content Protection to prevent content theft. This tool will detect copied content and notify creators.
To teach a lesson to those who steal content, Meta has launched a new tool called Facebook Content Protection. With the help of this tool, it will be easy to catch the copied content. Also, the user will be informed that their content has been stolen. This means that if someone is copying and pasting your video or reels, Meta will notify you about it. The company has introduced this feature only for mobile. It will work only on mobile. Meta says that they do not want that any creator's hard work and its fruits should go to someone else or their identity should be lost. This new tool has been introduced for this purpose.
How does Meta's new tool work?
Meta’s new tool makes it easy to spot copied content. As soon as the system detects a Reel that appears to be copied, the original creator immediately receives a notification. The creator can then take further action as desired. They can also block the copied Reel from appearing on Facebook and Instagram.
Creators can get credit for the video
Furthermore, they can also track how the copied video performs. If desired, they can also add a link to credit the copyist. Furthermore, Meta also mentions that creators can create an "Allow List."
Keep in mind that you'll only be able to track content on Instagram once the Reel is posted on Facebook. You can do this by either posting the Reel directly to Facebook, or you can use Instagram's "Share to Facebook" option. Once the original Reel is in Facebook's system, the tool starts searching for similar content on both platforms. Meta says they want to promote original content on their social media platforms. With this new tool, Meta wants original creators to get the recognition they deserve, especially as the competition for short-form videos continues to grow.
