The central government has implemented several schemes for women. Following the central government, state governments have also launched several schemes for women. The Maharashtra government implemented the Ladki Behen Yojana. Following that, the Delhi government also announced the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Meanwhile, an important announcement has been made for the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana in the budget. Funds have been approved for this scheme.
The Delhi government's Mahila Samriddhi Yojana provides financial assistance to women. This scheme was launched to reduce financial stress on women from poor families. Under this scheme, women are given ₹2,500 per month. This scheme will provide relief to women. The government has approved a fund of ₹5,100 crore for this scheme.
These women will benefit
Under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, women are given monthly financial assistance. There are some criteria to avail the benefits of this scheme. Only women who fulfil these criteria will get the benefit of the scheme. Women between the age of 21 to 59 years can avail the benefits of this scheme. The woman availing the benefits of the scheme should be a resident of Delhi for at least 5 years. The annual income of the beneficiaries of this scheme should be between 2.5 to 3 lakhs. No one in the family should be paying taxes. The woman should not be a government employee or pensioner. She should not be availing the benefits of any other scheme.
When will the scheme start?
The government has announced the scheme. The process has begun. Women will then be registered. The money will then be transferred to their accounts. Currently, no official information has been released regarding this. Official information will be provided soon.
