Inflation is continuously rising in the country, and today, on June 1st, the people of the country have once again received a big shock. Yes, oil companies have drastically increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. According to the new rates, the cylinder has increased by Rs 53.50. In Delhi, the commercial cylinder has become costlier by Rs 42 and is now priced at Rs 3113.50. In Kolkata, its price has increased by Rs 53.50 to Rs 3255.50.
Prices increased according to metro cities
If media reports are to be believed, the rates of 19 kg gas cylinders for commercial use have been increased differently within the metro cities. In Delhi, Rs 42 more will have to be paid per cylinder. Whereas, traders in Kolkata will have to bear an additional financial burden of Rs 53.50, due to which the prices of commercial LPG have reached record levels in both the cities. Apart from this, oil marketing companies have also increased the price of 5 kg FTL cylinders used by small traders and citizens by Rs 11.
Prices are continuously increasing since January
Let us tell you that since the beginning of the year 2026, the prices of commercial cylinders are continuously increasing. In January, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was Rs 1,691.50. In February, the price was increased by Rs 49, in March by Rs 115, in April by Rs 195. 50 and in May, the prices were increased by a staggering Rs 993 per cylinder. After repeated price revisions in the last six months, now the price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 3,113.50.
