The tension between the US and Iran has also affected India. LPG supplies in India have been declining for some time. The Indian government has instructed petroleum companies to maintain extra stock of LPG cylinders, and gas prices are also being raised. Meanwhile, the prices of commercial and smaller 5 kg cylinders have been increased again. There are several things about these 5 kg cylinders that very few people know. An extra charge is required for home delivery of these cylinders. Let's learn more about this in detail.
How much is the delivery charge?
According to the Indian Oil Corporation website, customers can receive home delivery of small gas cylinder refills through points of sale. However, an additional delivery charge of ₹25 will be applicable per refill. Customers can purchase small cylinders from any authorized Indane Gas distributor, Indian Oil retail outlet, select grocery stores, or supermarkets. Additionally, cylinders can be refilled at any authorized point of sale or distributor across the country.
The most important feature of this cylinder is that no address proof is required to obtain it. A connection can be obtained with just an identity card. Furthermore, if a customer purchases a cylinder from a point of sale and returns it later, the company will refund a fixed amount of ₹500 per cylinder. The length of time the cylinder has been in use does not affect this.
The
price of the 5 kg small cylinder, along with commercial LPG, was also increased on June 1. The price of the 5 kg small cylinder has risen by 11 rupees to 821.50 rupees. Furthermore, the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen by 42 rupees to 3,113.50 rupees in Delhi. Previously, the price was 3,071.50 rupees.
On May 1st, the price of commercial gas cylinders was increased by a significant ₹993. However, to provide relief to domestic consumers, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder has been kept stable at ₹913. The price of this cylinder was last increased by ₹60 in early March. However, there is currently no increase.
