Born in Tonk, Rajasthan, Jai Mundhra went to Ireland a few years ago to study. There, he continued playing cricket and earned a place in the Irish national team. The two-match T20 series, which concluded on Sunday, was Jai's first international series. He played a key role in his team's victory, earning him the Player of the Match award in the second match and the Player of the Series award.
Jai Mundhra took five wickets in the two-match T20 series against India. In the second match, he wreaked havoc, dismissing Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma in the very first over. He dismissed Sanju LBW for zero off the first ball of the match, completely outplaying the batsman. He then bowled Shreyas Iyer in the third over. This moment was memorable for him, as his performance is now being discussed, whereas previously, he was only in the news for being born in India and joining the Irish team.

But an interesting fact has emerged about Jai. The man who destroyed world champion India's top batsmen is currently seeking a full-time job in the IT sector. Jai moved to Ireland in 2021 to pursue a Masters in Electronics and Communications. Surprisingly, even though he has played international cricket for Ireland, he still holds an Indian passport.
He completed his Master of Science in 2022 and subsequently began working at Intel as a product development engineer. According to his LinkedIn profile, Mundhra left Intel in June of last year. He has not yet joined another company.
Jai Mundhra's LinkedIn profile has the #Opentowork badge, which suggests he's looking for a full-time job in Ireland. A few months ago, he commented on a post that he had worked at Intel and was currently looking for a job.
