The final of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League will not be played in Bengaluru, the home of defending champions RCB. The BCCI has decided to hold the final in Ahmedabad.

As per IPL tradition, the final match of this season should have been played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore, but due to some reasons, BCCI has decided to hold the final match in Ahmedabad. According to reports, the IPL 2026 final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31. BCCI has today announced the venues and dates of the IPL 2026 playoff matches.

The BCCI has decided to host the playoff matches in Ahmedabad, New Chandigarh, and Dharamsala. For the second consecutive time, Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium has been chosen to host the IPL final. The stadium has also hosted the IPL 2022 and IPL 2023 finals. Qualifier 1 will be played in Dharamsala on May 26, the Eliminator in Chandigarh on May 27, Qualifier 2 in Chandigarh on May 29, and the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad on May 31.
