India’s T20 squad for the upcoming Ireland and England tour has seen a last-minute change, with Mohammed Siraj being withdrawn from the team and replaced by Prasidh Krishna.
Siraj was initially included in the 15-member squad announced on June 6, but was later ruled out as a precautionary measure. According to reports, he was advised rest by medical staff, leading to his withdrawal from the series to avoid further risk.
Following his exit, Prasidh Krishna has been added to the squad. The Karnataka fast bowler earned the opportunity after an impressive IPL 2026 season, where he delivered consistent performances and proved to be one of his team’s key wicket-takers.
Both Siraj and Prasidh featured for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026 and had strong campaigns. Siraj picked up 17 wickets in 19 matches, while Prasidh claimed 16 wickets in 12 matches, making both among the standout fast bowlers of the season.
India’s tour of Ireland and England is scheduled to take place in June–July, and the updated squad will now move forward with this revised pace attack combination.
