Among the Chinese tankers that are standing idle is a tanker named Ellora which reached the port of Sinus in Portugal with about 60 thousand metric tons of jet fuel. It is anchored there since July 18. The second tanker Amgenish reached the port of Tujung Telpas in Malaysia with 40 thousand tons of diesel from Wadenaar. It changed its route and anchored in the Strait of Malacca. The third tanker Pacific Martina is roaming in the Gulf of Oman without a buyer after leaving Wadenaar with jet fuel. Let us tell you that Nayara Energy is the same company which was earlier known as Israel Oil. Nayara Energy operates an oil refinery with a capacity of 20 million tonnes per annum in Vadinar, Gujarat. The company has about 6,800 fuel outlets across the country. Nayara handles 8% of India's total refining capacity and 7% of the fuel retail network. Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, the EU issued the 18th sanctions package on Russian companies. Indian company Nayara Energy was also included in it. The EU claims that Nayara Energy processes Russian crude. But the reality is that India is an independent, sovereign nation and buying its oil is a policy right. Nayara imports crude only for domestic needs. It does not supply to Europe. The EU treated India's energy security as collateral damage.
