Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Honda launches new premium bike in India, know price and features..

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its new powerful motorcycle CB1000 Hornet SP in India. The company has kept its ex-showroom price at around Rs 12.5 lakh. This bike is another big premium offering from Honda after the recently launched X-ADV 750 and CB750. The CB1000 Hornet SP is counted among the flagship bikes of Honda's global range and is an even more advanced and powerful version of the CB1000. It has high-quality hardware and more power output. Honda has also said that booking of the bike has started and delivery will start from June 2025.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Engine Power and Speed
The CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by Honda's 1000cc inline-four engine. This engine generates power of about 155 bhp at 11,000 rpm and torque of 107 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and also gets a bi-directional quick-shifter. Which makes gear shifting very smooth. The top speed of this bike is 230 kmph, which will be liked by sports bike lovers.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Features and electronics are also plentiful

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP has five riding modes to personalize the riding experience. These are Sport, Standard, Rain, and two customizable user modes. It has a Honda Selectable Torque Control System, which gives better grip and safety during riding.

The bike has dual-channel ABS and a 5-inch TFT display, which also has Bluetooth connectivity. However, this bike will be available in only one color option Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. Which gives it an aggressive and premium look.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Suspension and Braking
The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP bike has 41 mm Showa USD forks at the front and Ohlins fully adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The travel of the front suspension is 118 mm and the rear is 139 mm, so that this bike can perform well even on bad roads. For braking, there are 310 mm disc brakes at the front which come with radial-mounted four-piston Nissin calipers. While the rear is a single disc of 240 mm, with a single Nissin piston caliper.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Weight, Fuel Tank and Seat Height
The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP motorcycle weighs 212 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters. The seat height is 809 mm, which can be considered comfortable for most riders.

In the Indian market, the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP bike will compete directly with the Kawasaki Ninja Z900. Which has already been selling for a long time and has also been successful due to its performance and price.
