HMD Launches Touch 4G Hybrid Phone in India for Rs 3,999; Reminiscent of Classic Nokias

HMD, the parent company of Nokia, has introduced the HMD Touch 4G in India, priced attractively under ₹4,000. Marketed as the country’s first hybrid phone, this keypad-less device blends the simplicity of feature phones with select smart functionalities, appealing especially to digital newcomers.

The HMD Touch 4G sports a 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen powered by the Unisoc T127 chipset, paired with 64MB RAM and 128MB onboard storage, expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It supports dual nano SIMs, runs on the RTOS Touch operating system, and features a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash along with a VGA front camera suitable for video calls. The device also offers Wi-Fi with hotspot support, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM radio (both wired and wireless), an MP3 player, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Designed with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance, the HMD Touch 4G includes a sizable 1950mAh battery charged via USB Type-C offering up to 30 hours of usage. Its minimalist look comes in Cyan and Dark Blue colors. With features like a quick-call button and cloud app suite including news, cricket scores, and games, the phone aims to bridge the gap between basic feature phones and smartphones at an accessible price point.

This launch strengthens HMD’s commitment to bringing affordable smart technology to a growing Indian user base, especially targeting students and working professionals seeking digital connectivity without the complexity of full smartphones.
