After rising prices last week, tensions regarding gold have reduced in the new week. Gold prices in the country have fallen once again. On Monday, July 6, the prices of 24 carat and 22 carat gold fell in most cities of the country. In the capital Delhi, the price of 24 carat gold has fallen to Rs 1,46,870 per 10 grams. However, last week the price of 24 carat gold had increased by Rs 2,780 and the price of 22 carat gold by Rs 2,550. Today the price of 'spot gold' in the international market is $4,175.02 per ounce.
According to JPMorgan, gold prices will rise this year, but their gains will be limited. This is primarily due to the lack of strong demand from major sectors. It estimates that gold prices could reach $4,300 per ounce in the third quarter and $4,500 per ounce in the fourth quarter.
Gold prices in some major cities of the country
In the national capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹146,870 per 10 grams. 22-carat gold will cost ₹134,640 per 10 grams today. In the financial capitals, Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹134,490 per 10 grams, and 24-carat gold is ₹146,720 per 10 grams.
Among the country's major cities, Chennai has the highest gold prices. The price of 24-carat gold there is ₹1,49,450 per 10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold is ₹1,34,540. Prices for Pune and Bengaluru have also been revealed. In these two cities, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is available for ₹1,46,720, and 10 grams of 22-carat gold is available for ₹1,34,490.

Like gold, silver prices also fell today, providing relief to consumers. On the morning of July 6th, the price of silver was reported at ₹249,900 per kg. This price had risen by ₹10,000 last week. The international spot silver rate is $62.47 per ounce. Domestic gold and silver prices are influenced by both domestic and global factors.
