Passengers travelling by train no longer need to struggle to get their complaints heard. The RailOne app, developed by Indian Railways, has been upgraded with a powerful new feature called RailMadad. This feature allows passengers to register complaints related to trains or railway stations directly from their mobile phones within minutes. To make complaints more effective and faster to resolve, users can now upload photos, videos, or even audio recordings as proof, ensuring that their issues receive prompt attention.
The RailOne app is designed as an all-in-one platform for railway passengers. Similar to ticket booking through IRCTC, RailOne allows users to book reserved tickets, general tickets, and even platform tickets. In addition, the app offers access to Waves OTT content and various railway-related services. With the integration of RailMadad, RailOne has also become a dedicated grievance redressal platform for passengers.
RailMadad is specifically meant to help passengers report inconveniences faced during train journeys or at railway stations. The option is easily accessible on the home page of the RailOne app with a single tap. While filing a complaint, users can upload supporting files such as images, videos, or audio clips, though each file must not exceed 5MB in size. This visual or audio evidence helps railway authorities understand the issue clearly and take quicker action.
To file a complaint, passengers need to install the RailOne app from the Play Store or App Store. First-time users must register, but those who already have an IRCTC account can log in using the same credentials. After logging in, the app opens to a clean and simple home screen displaying all major services. From there, users can tap the Rail Help or RailMadad option, select whether the complaint is related to a train or a station, choose the type of problem, describe the issue in detail, and upload any supporting media before submitting the complaint. A “Track” option on the top right allows users to monitor the status of their complaint and see whether action has been taken.
Through RailMadad, passengers can raise complaints about a wide range of issues, including dirty coaches, unclean toilets, poor food quality, overcharging for meals, non-working AC, lack of water supply, faulty charging points, missing bedrolls, dirty blankets or sheets, train delays, and even requests for an emergency doctor on board. The platform is not limited to complaints alone—passengers can also submit suggestions and feedback to help improve railway services. By using RailMadad through the RailOne app, passengers now have a simple, transparent, and effective way to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed quickly.
