The central government has taken this important decision for railway employees. The cabinet has announced a 78-day bonus for railway employees. This is a significant Diwali bonus for railway employees. The government will distribute a total of ₹2009 crore to railway employees under this bonus.
Ashwini Vaishnav, while giving information about the cabinet decisions, said that this will benefit 1.14 million railway employees. Vaishnav said that in recognition of the performance of railway employees, the Union Cabinet has approved the payment of a 78-day bonus of ₹2009.61 crore to 1,140,770 railway employees.

The Product Linked Bonus is paid to eligible railway employees every year before the Durga Puja/Dussehra holidays. This year too, an amount equivalent to 78 days' salary is being paid to approximately 11.40 lakh railway employees.
