Many photos, videos, and files are shared on Telegram every day. After a while, it can be difficult to find an old photo or video. However, Telegram's search and media features make it easy to find old photos and videos.

How to find old photos and videos in a chat?
First, open the Telegram app and go to the chat, group, or channel where you want to find the old photo or video.

Now tap the name or profile photo that appears above the chat. You'll then see different categories related to that chat, such as Media, Files, Links, and Voice Messages.

To view older photos, open the Media section. Photos and videos shared in that chat are displayed here together. You can find older media by scrolling up or down.

Quickly find old files with Search.
If you remember a keyword, name, or message associated with a photo or video, Telegram's Search option can be very helpful. Open a chat, enter the relevant keyword, and view the available results.

Using Search in large chats will save you from having to scroll through hundreds of messages one by one.

Find files easily too
If the photo or video was sent as a file, it may need to be found in the Files category instead of the Media section. So, if you can't find the old item, be sure to check the Files section along with the Media section.
