Box Office: ‘Saiyyara’ Nears ₹255 Cr in 8 Days! Can It Beat ‘Kabir Singh’ to Become Top Hindi Romantic Film?

Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyyara continues to charm audiences even in its second week. Although the film's daily earnings have slowed slightly over the past two days, it is still performing solidly at the box office. All eyes are now on whether it can dethrone Kabir Singh to become the highest-grossing Hindi romantic film of all time.

Strong Start, Steady Momentum

Saiyyara opened with a powerful ₹21.5 crore on Day 1 and showed even stronger performance over the weekend, raking in ₹83.25 crore. Surprisingly, the film didn’t witness the usual weekday slump and maintained a firm grip with ₹107 crore in the first five days.

According to SACNILK, the film has now earned a total of ₹190.25 crore in 8 days.

Day-wise India Collection:

Day Earnings (₹ Crore)
Friday 21.5
Saturday 26.0
Sunday 35.75
Monday 24.0
Tuesday 25.0
Wednesday 21.5
Thursday 18.75
Friday 17.5
Total 190.25

Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹250 Cr

Saiyyara's popularity isn’t limited to India. The film has also done well internationally, collecting ₹65 crore overseas. With a global total of ₹255 crore in just 8 days and a modest production budget of ₹40 crore, the film has already earned over six times its cost.

Challenging Kabir Singh’s Record

The film that currently holds the record for the biggest Hindi romantic film is Kabir Singh (2019), which earned ₹331.24 crore domestically and ₹47.78 crore internationally—making its worldwide total ₹379.02 crore.

Saiyyara still has some distance to cover, but if it maintains its current pace, it could very well challenge Kabir Singh’s record in the coming weeks.

Verdict: Can It Break the Record?

With strong word-of-mouth, a gripping love story, and a powerful lead performance, Saiyyara has already made a mark. Whether it will surpass Kabir Singh and emerge as the highest-grossing Hindi romantic film remains to be seen, but it's certainly on track to do so.
