Following the recent firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence, reports have now emerged that a close associate of superstar Salman Khan has received a threatening email demanding crores of rupees.

According to sources, the sender of the email claimed links to the notorious Bishnoi gang, a name that has repeatedly surfaced in threats against members of the film industry in recent months. This latest development has once again triggered fear and uncertainty within Bollywood circles.

Threat Email Sparks Fresh Panic

The threatening email reportedly demanded a large sum of money and warned of serious consequences if the demand was not met. While no formal police complaint has yet been registered by Salman Khan or his associates, the Mumbai Police and Crime Branch have stepped up surveillance as a precautionary measure.

Officials are closely monitoring the situation, given Salman Khan’s history of receiving similar threats in the past. His security remains on high alert.

Crime Branch Expands Investigation

During the ongoing investigation, the Mumbai Crime Branch reportedly found mobile location data of individuals linked to the Bishnoi gang near the residences of several Bollywood celebrities. Based on these findings, authorities have widened the scope of their probe and are actively collecting further evidence.

Police sources say that all angles are being examined to determine the authenticity and origin of the threats.

Ranveer Singh Also Targeted

Adding to the concern, actor Ranveer Singh has also allegedly received an extortion threat. Reports suggest the demand was sent via a WhatsApp voice note, asking for crores of rupees. Although the investigation is still underway, security at the actor’s residence has been increased as a precaution.

Once again, the Bishnoi gang’s name has surfaced in connection with this threat.
