As the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 approach, political parties are busy releasing manifestos filled with grand promises to attract voters. However, one party has decided to take a different route. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has announced that it will not release any election manifesto, declaring instead that “the Constitution of India is our true manifesto.”

AIMIM Rejects Hollow Promises

In an exclusive interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, AIMIM’s Bihar state president Akhtarul Iman stated,

“We don’t believe in false promises and exaggerated claims. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution is our party’s real manifesto.”

He further alleged that the Seemanchal region of Bihar has been ignored by both the central and state governments, saying,

“The governments in Delhi and Patna have treated the people of Seemanchal unfairly for years.”

“People May Have Left, But Voters Remain With Us”

Reflecting on the party’s past performance, Akhtarul Iman admitted that AIMIM suffered setbacks in the last elections due to internal challenges.

“Last time, when some people left us, we faced losses and our campaign was weakened. But voters haven’t left — they are returning. We are working hard, and I am confident that AIMIM will perform better this time,” he said.

“Baba Saheb’s Constitution Is Our Manifesto”

Reiterating his faith in the Constitution, Akhtarul Iman emphasized AIMIM’s commitment to justice and equality:

“We are not bringing out any separate manifesto. The Constitution written by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is our manifesto. We want to uplift the marginalized and ensure justice for every citizen. Everyone in India deserves equal rights, respect, and opportunity.”

He clarified that AIMIM’s agenda focuses on social justice, constitutional values, and inclusive development, rather than populist promises.

Akhtarul Iman Targets Political Strategists

Taking a swipe at political strategist Prashant Kishor, Iman said,

“The person you are talking about was the one who coined the slogan ‘Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi.’ The public knows who worked for whom and where their loyalties lie.”

His comments appeared to hint at the perceived double standards of some political figures who shift alliances for personal gain.

Meanwhile, in the same TV9 Bharatvarsh segment, Saba Zafar, the JDU candidate from the Amour constituency, expressed confidence in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s development record.
She said,

“Nitish Kumar’s work will bring us votes. While many parties are busy making religious and emotional appeals to Hindus, Muslims, and minorities, they are ignoring the real issue — development.”

According to Zafar, the JD(U) remains focused on infrastructure, education, and social welfare, which will ultimately decide voter sentiment.

AIMIM’s Unconventional Move Stirs Political Debate

By refusing to release a traditional manifesto, AIMIM has set itself apart from the mainstream political discourse in Bihar. While other parties rely on tall promises and headline-grabbing schemes, AIMIM is positioning itself as a party rooted in constitutional values and grassroots empowerment.
