The IPL 2025 frenzy is finally reaching its climax, but cricket lovers don’t have to worry about a lull after the league ends. Right after IPL, Team India embarks on an exciting new challenge: a 5-match Test series against England, starting June 20. Fans can catch every nail-biting moment both on television and online, thanks to a major broadcasting deal.
Jio Hotstar Secures Digital Streaming Rights
The prestigious World Test Championship 2025-27 kicks off with this high-stakes India vs. England series. Sony Sports Network holds the TV broadcast rights and will air all five Test matches live. Meanwhile, Jio Hotstar has grabbed the digital streaming rights, letting viewers watch the series live on mobile and other digital devices.
This arrangement comes from an agreement between Sony Sports Network and Jio Hotstar, ensuring fans don’t miss a single ball whether they’re at home or on the go. Although not officially announced yet, sources from Cricbuzz confirm this exclusive digital streaming deal.
What’s Next? Extended Coverage Possible
The partnership between Sony Sports and Jio Hotstar might extend beyond these Tests. Talks are underway for Jio Hotstar to stream next year’s ODI and T20I series between India and England digitally as well. Sony Sports Network, which has an 8-year broadcasting deal with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), will continue airing England’s home matches on TV through 2031.
