According to media reports, the official was accused of accepting a bribe to protect a shopkeeper from punishment. It is reported that a two-year-old child fell ill and became dizzy after eating delicious food purchased from a local beverage shop. This is where the controversy began. When the child's condition worsened, his family took him to the hospital for treatment. This incident angered the child's family and local residents. They contacted the FDA office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and filed a complaint.
After receiving the complaint, an FDA official arrived to inspect the store. However, local residents complained that the delicacies involved in the incident had been removed before the inspection began. During the inspection, the official found several expired biscuit packets in the store. Local residents claim that the packets were confiscated, but no strict action was taken against the shopkeeper. Local residents accused the FDA official of accepting bribes to hush up the matter. Protests were held around him. There are also reports that expired biscuits were stuffed into the official's mouth.
A video of the alleged incident recently surfaced. It was posted by an anonymous handle named "Ujjwal Doval." The video has already garnered numerous views, garnering a flood of likes and comments.
