The Shaniswara Temple in Tamil Nadu is one of the major Navagraha temples in India. According to legend, praying here relieves one of the negative effects of Shani Dosha and ward off misfortune and adversity. Devotees believe that bathing in the Naal Theertham tank helps cleanse one from the bad karma of past lives.

The Shanichara Temple in Madhya Pradesh is one of the oldest Shani temples in the country. It is believed that the idol of Shanidev enshrined in the temple was formed from a meteorite that fell long ago at the exact spot where the temple currently stands. The idol of Shani is located on top of a hill.

Located in Bannanje Sri Shani Kshetra, Karnataka, a massive monolithic statue of Lord Shani is placed on a two-step platform for public viewing. This temple is located just a few kilometers from the famous Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi district. Here, the deity is anointed with oil as a prasad.

The Yerdanur Shani Temple in Telangana houses a 20-foot-tall statue of Lord Shani carved from black monolithic stone on a 2-foot-high base. The statue alone weighs approximately 9 tons. Devotees visit here to ward off the negative effects of Saturn.

The Shani Shingnapur Temple in Maharashtra is one of the largest pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Shani Dev. The most distinctive feature of this temple is that it lacks a roof or walls. Lord Shani Dev is enshrined in the form of a 5-foot-tall black stone, placed on a platform called Sonai. According to legend, villagers found a black stone floating in the river, bleeding from it. One day, Lord Shani appeared to the village head in a dream and revealed that the stone was his own image.

The Shani Dham Temple in New Delhi houses a 21-foot-tall statue of Shani Dev, carved from natural rock, which is the tallest statue in the world. Devotees believe that worshipping Shani Dev at this temple provides relief from all obstacles in life.
